United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join the Dataplane Engineering Team. You will design, build, and document core client-side networking software, collaborating with product management and internal engineering to deliver scalable, secure connectivity solutions.

In a fully remote, startup environment, you will diagnose networking issues, improve features, and engage with open-source communities.

Qualifications

• Experience with networking software and diagnosing networking issues.
• Understanding of routing, VPNs, IP management, and NAT traversal.
• Proficiency in Go or other low-level languages with concurrency and performance focus.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a startup, remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and document core client-side networking software.
• Advance product features by integrating established network protocols with company designs.
• Adopt a security-centric approach to architecture and coding for resilient networking modules.
• Evaluate and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability across platforms.
• Provide expert consultation to customer success during critical network escalations.
• Engage with the open-source community and contribute to relevant projects.
