Job summary

The TIS Security Engineer role at Noblis is a high-impact, architecture-focused security position supporting FAA's telecommunications and integrated services environment. You will shape secure network designs and lead risk-based decisions across complex federal networks.

Candidates bring deep experience in cyber and network security, RMF/NIST frameworks, and a hands-on ability to implement Zero Trust, IPv6, and SDN within safety-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal programs, ideally FAA or transportation.
• Hands-on network engineering and design experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and load balancing.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure including IPv4/IPv6 and WAN/LAN.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 rev 5.
• Able to evaluate security concepts for large-scale safety-critical systems like NAS.
• Ability to develop system security plans, risk assessments, and related docs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and guide network architecture to ensure cybersecurity built-in from ground up.
• Review system configurations, firewall rules, and network paths to align with FAA Orders and federal standards.
• Lead transitions from IPv4 to IPv6 and other tech from cybersecurity perspective.
• Support integration of Zero Trust, SDN, and defense-in-depth into enterprise solutions.
• Act as technical bridge between FAA cyber stakeholders and infrastructure providers.
• Evaluate vendor architectures and provide expert security recommendations based on policy.
