SecureStrux is seeking a traveling Network Engineer to design, implement, securely configure, and maintain client networks with a focus on Cisco and Palo Alto devices. The role requires 60% travel to client sites across the United States and a remote home office setup.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in network engineering, DoD security experience, and active Security+ with CCNA/CCNP certifications. The position offers a competitive salary and extensive benefits.

Competenze

• Active Secret Clearance or higher required to start.
• Active Security+ and CCNA or CCNP Certifications required to start.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience configuring and managing Cisco switches, routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, and Palo Alto firewalls
• Familiarity with DoD security requirements and DISA STIG/SRG to comply with DoD guidelines
• Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols
• Working knowledge of 802.1x and TACACS
• Working knowledge of Comply-to-Connect (C2C)
• Understanding of IDS/IPS
• Experience with Network Access Controls such as Cisco ISE or ForeScout
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Mansioni

• Deliver on the scope and schedule of projects as defined in the contract statement of work
• Ensure client satisfaction is measured and report issues to the SecureStrux Project Manager or Lead Engineer
• Conduct customer training and provide accurate responses within 8 business hours
• Design and implement network architecture according to required compliance frameworks and IT Security requirements
• Configure and deploy Cisco switches, routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE, and Palo Alto firewalls for robust networks
• Implement and maintain network security measures including ACLs, C2C, VLANs, 802.1x, TACACS and firewall policies for DoD compliance
• Ensure architecture and supporting equipment are configured per compliance frameworks and IT Security requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and propose suitable solutions
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs
