Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Network Engineer for data annotation tasks to support autonomous systems. This remote contract role focuses on reviewing real-world network data, labeling behaviors and anomalies, and helping define schemas for large-scale data pipelines.

You will interface with the client team, leverage your enterprise networking experience, and work asynchronously for 30–40 hours per week to deliver high-quality machine learning inputs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a network engineer in enterprise networks.
• Ability to interpret logs, events, and time-series metrics.
• Curiosity about how raw infrastructure data becomes ML input.

Responsibilities

• Review real-world data from deployed networks, including logs, configs, telemetry, and event streams.
• Label and classify key behaviors, issues, and anomalies in network data.
• Help define schemas and structure for large-scale data pipelines.
• Interface directly with the client team to ensure data quality and relevance.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.
