Job summary

The Technical Design Authority at GTT is an individual contributor role within a post-sales design and implementation environment. You will engage with external client technical leads and internal teams, bringing deep knowledge of internetworking technologies to design, implement, and validate client solutions across Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VeloCloud, and Silver Peak products.

Qualifications

• Develop design solutions (physical and logical) following engineering best practices.
• Knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VeloCloud & Silver Peak design concepts and support.
• Multi-platform design, implementation and support experience.
• Expertise with data, security and voice services.
• Hands-on experience with routing, switching & security protocols.
• Experience supporting a client's complete network deployment lifecycle.
• Ability to perform service testing.
• Understand VPN (SD-WAN, MPLS, IPSec, GRE, TLS), SDN/NFV, wireless (802.11), LTE/5G fundamentals.
• Strong customer-facing skills and project management awareness.

Responsibilities

• Network design and deployment of multi-platform solutions for managed service clients.
• Technical lead during project planning, management and implementation (Pilot & POC).
• Participate in client calls to review and capture low-level design requirements.
• Interface with clients and project teams supporting solution development.
• Act as technical point of contact within Managed Services for multiple teams.
• Provide technical escalation during project deployment.
• Assist in identifying and resolving data or voice connectivity issues.
• Interact with additional engineering teams on network improvements and initiatives.
• Create templates for new hardware introduced to our managed equipment portfolio.
