Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a senior network engineer for a remote/teleworker role. You will operate and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN in secure, regulated environments and coordinate with DoD customers.

The role requires active DoD Secret clearance, DoD 8140 baseline cert, and 7+ years of enterprise networking experience. Travel and onsite work at customer locations may be required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8140 baseline cert (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or higher) required on start.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Network Engineering/IT or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive network engineering or operations in enterprise/datacenter/private-cloud/federal environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, datacenter, and disconnected-cloud networks across environments.
• Resolve connectivity, routing, policy, performance, and application-delivery issues.
• Execute approved network and security changes through ServiceNow with proper documentation.
• Support and troubleshoot VMware NSX tenant networking and private-cloud connectivity.
• Partner with cloud, virtualization, systems, security, and application teams on onboarding and migrations.
• Translate architecture into diagrams, designs, and procedures for operations and integration.
• Monitor service health and improve reliability through automation and standardization.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
