Cognizant is seeking a Network Architect to design and optimize secure, scalable networks using Palo Alto firewall and Juniper switching, routing, wireless, and security technologies. This role supports hi-tech clients in a remote capacity across the United States.

The Architect will drive hybrid work solutions, mentor teams, and align designs with business outcomes while ensuring robust connectivity, strong security posture, and operational efficiency in complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Juniper and Palo Alto experience in large enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise networks with Palo Alto and Juniper for secure, scalable connectivity.
• Develop security and segmentation designs across wired, wireless, and cloud.
• Create design docs for wired and wireless infra built on Juniper hardware and Mist.
• Tune routing/switched configurations for high performance and low latency.
• Configure wireless using Juniper Mist to ensure reliable user experiences.
• Review firewall rules and security policies to improve posture and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into network designs.
• Guide teams through incident analysis and knowledge transfer to prevent recurrences.
• Implement monitoring and observability across Palo Alto and Juniper environments.
• Evaluate new Palo Alto/Juniper technologies to enhance automation and resilience.
• Align designs with compliance and data protection expectations.
• Coordinate change planning and cutover activities in a hybrid model.
• Mentor peers on firewall design, routing, and wireless optimization.
