Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Network Architect to design and optimize secure and scalable network architectures using Palo Alto firewall and Juniper switching routing wireless and security technologies. The Architect will drive hybrid work model solutions for hi tech clients ensuring robust connectivity strong security posture and operational efficiency across complex enterprise environments while mentoring teams and aligning designs with business outcomes.

This is a remote role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Juniper Mist including wireless, routing and switching.
• Strong Palo Alto firewall design and integration in large enterprises.
• Experience with security operations tools and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise network architectures integrating Palo Alto and Juniper technologies.
• Develop scalable, secure networking designs with segmentation strategies.
• Create detailed design documentation for wired and wireless infrastructures.
• Optimize routing and switching across Juniper devices for low latency.
• Configure wireless networking with Juniper Mist for high-quality user experiences.
• Review firewall rules and security policies to improve posture and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into designs.
• Guide operational teams through problem analysis and troubleshooting.
• Implement monitoring and observability across Palo Alto and Juniper environments.
• Evaluate new Palo Alto/Juniper solutions to enhance automation and resilience.
• Align designs with compliance policies and industry regulations.
• Coordinate change planning and cutover activities in a hybrid model.
• Provide mentoring on firewall design, routing, and wireless optimization.
