Cognizant is seeking a Network Architect responsible for designing and optimizing secure and scalable network architectures using Palo Alto firewall and Juniper switching routing wireless and security technologies. The Architect will drive hybrid work model solutions for hi tech clients ensuring robust connectivity strong security posture and operational efficiency across complex enterprise environments while mentoring teams and aligning designs with business outcomes.

This is a remote role.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Juniper switching routing and wireless design experience.
• Strong expertise with Palo Alto firewall policy design threat prevention and integration.
• Ability to design implement and maintain scalable core and distribution layers.
• Proficient in hybrid work model considerations including secure remote access and segmentation.
• Experience mentoring peers and collaborating with global teams on architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise network architectures integrating Palo Alto and Juniper tech for secure connectivity.
• Develop scalable security designs with segmentation and next-gen capabilities.
• Create design documentation for wired/wireless infrastructures built on Juniper.
• Optimize routing and switching for high-performance low latency and reliability.
• Configure Juniper Mist wired and wireless solutions for stable user experiences.
• Review firewall rules and security policies to enforce standardized configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams translating requirements into designs.
• Guide operational teams through troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
• Implement monitoring and observability across Palo Alto and Juniper infrastructures.
• Evaluate emerging Palo Alto/Juniper technologies and recommend improvements.
• Align designs with compliance policies and regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate change planning and cutover activities in a hybrid model.
• Provide mentoring on firewall design routing strategies and wireless optimization.
