Job summary

Fortuna is seeking a Lead Developer to guide the technical design and hands‑on development of a custom .NET solution hosted in AWS for the California Air Resources Board. You will lead a development team, enforce coding standards, and ensure delivery quality across databases, interfaces, APIs, and network components.

The role is remote within the United States with Pacific Time alignment; travel may be required around milestones.

Qualifications

Five or more years of experience serving as a Lead Developer in IT projects.
At least three years as a Lead Developer on multi‑million‑dollar IT projects.
Experience with custom .NET development and AWS.
Hands‑on experience with multiple databases, interfaces, APIs, and network components.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily technical operations and coordinate software‑development team activities.
Establish and enforce software development best practices, coding standards, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Lead the technical design and hands‑on development of custom .NET solutions in AWS.
Coordinate development involving databases, interfaces, APIs, integrations, and network components.
Resolve complex technical issues and collaborate with architecture, QA, infrastructure, BA, and PM teams.
Mentor developers and support DevOps, CI/CD, release readiness, and continuous improvement.
