Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a skilled C# Developer II for a remote, 100% U.S.-based role. You will work on .NET back-end services, RESTful APIs, and enterprise applications within an Agile team. Strong C#, MVC, SQL Server, EF, and cloud experience are essential.

Five or more years in .NET software development, plus hands-on API design, testing, and DevOps familiarity, will help you succeed. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with .NET technologies.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core.
• Proficient with MVC architecture and back-end API design.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and API design.
• Database design and SQL Server development; experience with EF.
• Cloud familiarity with Azure and AWS.
• Version control with Git; familiarity with TFS/TFVC optional.
• CI/CD practices and tooling such as CodePipeline/CodeDeploy.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest).
• Proficient with Visual Studio and/or VS Code.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of security best practices for web apps and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, requirements definition, test planning and execution; support software systems.
• Develop full-stack solutions using .NET back-end with C#, unit tests, and CI/CD deployment.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and teammates; provide technical guidance.
• Document software designs and diagrams; participate in code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in engineering.
