Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced .NET Developer for a remote contract-to-hire engagement to support a large modernization effort in backend services and APIs.

You will design, build, and optimize RESTful services, translate legacy mainframe functionality into modern .NET components, and collaborate with teams on enterprise integrations while working in a W2-friendly environment with benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C# development.
• Experience designing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with enterprise application development and integrations.
• Ability to translate legacy mainframe functionality into modern services.
• Mid-level to senior development experience.
• Interest in Kafka and event-driven architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using .NET.
• Build replacement services as part of a mainframe modernization effort.
• Review legacy code to understand business logic for new solutions.
• Develop event-driven services, including consumers and publishers.
• Build and support integrations with enterprise and third-party apps.
• Contribute to finance-related services, APIs, payroll workflows, and data integrations.
• Collaborate with teams to modernize critical enterprise applications.
