Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking experienced .NET Developers to support a large-scale modernization initiative, replacing legacy mainframe apps with modern .NET-based services and APIs. You will focus on backend development, enterprise integrations, and event-driven applications.

This is remote work with a contract-to-hire arrangement. Rate ranges from $65.00 to $75.00/hr on a W-2 basis, with medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus 401k matching and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on .NET/C# development experience.
• Proven track record designing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with enterprise application development and integrations.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging patterns.
• Experience with legacy modernization projects and production-grade systems.
• Interest in AI/LLM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using modern .NET.
• Build replacement services as part of a legacy mainframe modernization effort.
• Review existing mainframe code to translate logic into modern services.
• Develop event-driven services, consumers and publishers.
• Build and support integrations with enterprise and third-party apps.
• Contribute to finance-related services, payroll workflows, and data integrations.
• Collaborate with teams to modernize critical enterprise applications.
