Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a .NET Developer to support a large-scale modernization effort for a client in the Manufacturing sector. You will focus on backend services, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations, building scalable services that replace legacy mainframe systems.

This contract-to-hire opportunity is remote, with W2 benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k with company matching. Rate ranges from $65.00 to $75.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C# development.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with enterprise application development.
• Experience integrating multiple applications or systems.
• Production-grade application development experience.
• Ability to translate legacy functionality into modern services.
• Mid-level to senior development experience.
• Nice-to-have: Kafka, event-driven architectures and third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using modern .NET.
• Build replacement services as part of modernization of legacy mainframe.
• Review existing mainframe code to understand business logic for new solutions.
• Develop event-driven services, consumers, and publishers.
• Build and support integrations with enterprise and third-party applications.
• Contribute to finance-related services, payroll workflows, and data integrations.
• Work within shared repositories and established development standards.
• Collaborate with teams on modernization of critical enterprise applications.
