Job summary

Productiv Team is seeking a proactive Backend NestJs Developer to maintain a live, microservices platform and implement meaningful improvements. You’ll own end-to-end work from bug reports to production, balancing support with feature work and leveraging AI coding agents to ship efficiently while ensuring quality.

You will build within a layered architecture, extend integrations with external systems, and contribute to tests, logging, and documentation to improve observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Owns a bug report or change request from start to finish and ships tested, deployed solutions.
• Backend services built with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong NestJS experience: modules, controllers, services, DI, middleware.
• Solid REST/HTTP fundamentals with service-to-service communication, versioning, and error handling.
• Comfortable with PostgreSQL queries and safe migrations.
• Debugs distributed systems spanning multiple services using logs and metrics.
• Risks understood with rollout planning for payments/auth/live data.
• Integrations with third-party systems (payments, CRMs, ERPs, identity providers).
• Authentication patterns: OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, machine-to-machine.
• Agentic development with AI coding agents while preserving quality.
• Writes tests to confirm fixes and prevent regressions.
• Clear written/verbal communication: status updates, incident notes, PR descriptions, docs.

Responsibilities

• Triage, diagnose, and resolve production issues across distributed microservices.
• Investigate root causes, apply fixes, add regression tests, document findings.
