Job summary

Productiv Team is seeking a proactive Backend NestJs Developer to maintain a live microservices platform and ship meaningful improvements. You will own issues end-to-end, diagnose across services, and balance production support with feature work in a highly autonomous, AI-augmented environment.

You’ll work with Node.js/TypeScript, NestJS, and SQL databases, ensuring robust APIs, secure auth, and reliable observations while collaborating with QA and product teams to validate fixes and features

Qualifications

• Proven ownership from bug report to deployed solution.
• Production experience building backend services with Node.js & TypeScript.
• Strong NestJS experience: modules, controllers, services, DI, middleware.
• Solid REST/HTTP fundamentals and API versioning.
• Comfortable with PostgreSQL and safe migrations.
• Experience debugging distributed systems across multiple services.
• Risk-aware judgment for payments, auth, and live data.
• Experience integrating third-party systems (payments, CRMs, ERPs).
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO and machine-to-machine auth.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing to ensure quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Triage, diagnose, and resolve issues across microservices.
• Investigate root causes, write regression tests, document findings.
• Deliver enhancements to existing services and integrations.
• Follow architecture patterns and internal libraries.
• Maintain and extend integrations with external platforms.
• Write and update database migration scripts.
• Collaborate with QA and product to clarify behavior.
• Improve logging, masking, and production observability.
