Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks a Naval Subject Matter Expert (Cleared) for a remote contractor role to support high-impact AI training and evaluation projects, applying operational naval and maritime expertise to generate rigorous analyses and actionable insights.

You will deliver expert analysis of operations, coordinate with defense and government stakeholders, and prepare leadership briefings. Candidates should have TS/SCI (or equivalent) and extensive experience in naval affairs and security protocols.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the U.S. Navy, maritime, or defense sector.
• Active TS/SCI clearance preferred; Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility may be considered.
• Experience briefing senior military or government leadership.
• Familiarity with Pentagon, OPNAV, NAVSEA, or PEO environments.
• Intelligence or Intelligence Community experience is a strong advantage.
• Master's degree in national security, defense studies, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert analysis of naval operations, platforms, and doctrine.
• Assess operational and program data to develop informed recommendations.
• Prepare concise assessments and leadership-level briefings.
• Coordinate with defense, government, intelligence, and industry stakeholders.
• Analyze developments in naval capabilities and maritime security.
• Handle classified information in accordance with security protocols.
