ManTech seeks a motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. This position is remote within Virginia, with occasional travel to Chesapeake or Norfolk, VA, for client meetings and events.

The Electrical Engineer will support MSC engineering and design efforts, managing shipboard electrical power, lighting, and communication systems to ensure safe, reliable operation across naval vessels. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience on specialized vessels is required.
• Experience with marine power plants, propulsion control systems, automation and control systems, and electrical/lighting distribution systems.
• Experience with navigation and marine electronics systems in a naval or merchant marine environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare complex electrical load analyses and fault current analyses for shipboard alterations.
• Develop contract and in-house designs while performing troubleshooting and First Article Testing.
• Conduct surveys, inspections, and attend sea trials before, during, and after alterations.
• Perform Electrical Calculations and Schematics including Voltage Drop and Load Calculations.
• Develop Electrical Plant Load Analysis (EPLA) and related distribution studies.
• Collaborate to develop FMEA and PSTP for U.S. Coast Guard approvals.
• Work with internal and external teams to ensure complete electrical systems meeting MSC requirements.
• Travel occasionally to Chesapeake or Norfolk, VA for meetings and events.
