GovCIO is seeking a Natural ADABAS Developer with 8 years of experience to analyze and develop system requirements, code and debug Natural code, QA/test, and support code migration to production. This fully remote role within the United States requires a current Top Secret clearance.

The candidate will work with Connect Direct, ADABAS, NaturalONE, and IBM MQ, participate in SDLC, define requirements with customers, and design solutions across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience.
• Clearance Required: Currently possess a Top Secret
• Experience of large-scale applications on a mainframe platform or client server environment
• Experience working with customers in defining requirements
• Strong ability to design solutions across multiple systems or sub-systems
• Demonstrated experience interacting with software application program development and management personnel
• Proficient in O365 components to include Word, Excel, etc
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Builds and codes applications and/or modules using Natural with ADABAS, Develop and maintain software processes to transfer files using Connect Direct software.
• Provides patches and upgrades to existing systems.
• Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
• Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• May build add-on modules using application program language.
• Designs and codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools
• Maintains and modifies existing software applications.
• Analyzes detailed systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution.
• Performs modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
• Participates in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications.
• Writes or revises program documentation, operations documentation and user guides in accordance with standards.
