Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Natural ADABAS Developer with 8 years of experience to analyze and develop system requirements, code and debug Natural code, QA/test, and support code migration to production. The role requires a current Top Secret clearance and is fully remote within the United States.

The candidate will build and code applications using Natural with ADABAS, support file transfers via Connect Direct, and participate in system deployment planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years (or commensurate experience).
• Clearance Required: Currently possess a Top Secret clearance.
• Strong experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
• Experience of large-scale applications on a mainframe platform or client-server environment developing in both a Batch and Online environment.
• Experience working with customers in defining requirements.
• Strong proficiency working with customers to define requirements.
• Strong ability to design solutions across multiple systems or sub-systems.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with software application program development and management personnel.
• Proficient in O365 components to include Word, Excel, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools.
• Maintains and modifies existing software applications.
• Analyzes detailed systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution.
• Performs modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
• Participates in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specifications.
• Writes or revises program documentation, operations documentation and user guides in accordance with standards.
