Job summary

Standard Bots, America's largest manufacturer of AI-native industrial robots, seeks a Welding Sales Manager to own the national welding number and drive growth. You’ll lead the welding pipeline, partner with regional sales managers, and steer direct MIG welding deals with fabricators.

You'll travel frequently (~50% domestic) to customer sites and trade shows, build a distributor channel, and represent customer feedback to the product team to shape welding solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on welding experience; MIG required, TIG/laser a plus.
• 5+ years in welding sales or welding applications, ideally robotic/automated welding.
• Track record of closing capital equipment deals with manufacturers and fabricators.
• Comfort working as an individual contributor who leads through influence across regional sales teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, trade shows, and partner meetings.

Responsibilities

• Own the welding number: national quota for welding systems and revenue across direct and partner sales; manage pipeline and forecast by region.
• Co-sell welding opportunities with Regional Sales Managers across territories from discovery to close; participate in site visits, demos, and weld trials.
• Sell direct MIG welding systems: lead proposals, pricing, and negotiation for welding deals.
• Build the partner channel: recruit and manage gas and welding distributors; support partner-built solutions from first conversation to repeatable sales.
• Be the voice of the welding customer: relay field feedback to product team and represent Standard Bots at relevant trade shows.
