Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Remote Systems Integration Engineer—SME to advance the BNATCS upgrade of the NAS. You will assess FAA facilities, plan for new equipment, and oversee installation of hardware and software nationwide, with up to 90% travel.

You will coordinate with FAA and vendors, implement Site Specific Plans, and ensure compliance with FAA policies. The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years’ experience or Master’s with 10+ years’ experience, or Associate’s with 14+ years’ experience or HS diploma with 16+ years’ experience.
• 7 years of hardware and software deployment/installation experience.
• Linux experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of deployments (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Review site survey data to validate conditions and develop Site Specific Implementation Plans (SSIP).
• Track tasks and milestones across multiple sites with clear risk communication.
• Collaborate with vendors and the FAA for end‑to‑end site completion.
• Provide on‑site engineering and installation support.
• Install hardware and software per FAA policies and SSIPs.
• Conduct site functionality testing including networks and interfaces.
• Perform Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI) and assist in property disposition.
