Job summary

Egis in Orange, CA is seeking a mid‑level Transportation Planner/Modeler to support data‑driven planning, traffic modeling, and investment decision‑making for multimodal systems. The role emphasizes hands‑on modeling, scenario analysis, and collaboration with engineers and planners.

You'll work with TransCAD and Synchro to build and maintain models, perform VMT analyses, and contribute to grant writing and environmental reviews in a dynamic infrastructure practice.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Urban & Regional Planning or related field.
5+ years of transportation modeling experience with TransCAD and Synchro.
Experience with GIS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience and residence in Southern California is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop traffic models (microsimulation, travel demand) and forecast volumes.
Conduct traffic analysis for development and CEQA projects and transportation expansions.
Perform benefit-cost analysis, grant writing, and community engagement.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for technical and non‑technical audiences.
