Job summary

National Capitol Contracting LLC seeks a Multimedia Editor to provide transcription, post-production captioning, and live event audio/visual recording support, including webcasts. The role requires residence in the DC/MD/VA area and offers remote work, with travel to client sites as needed.

The chosen candidate will edit transcripts, timecode, and coordinate with clients and teams, aiming for high-quality, timely outputs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, multimedia editing, video, audio, or a related field.
1+ years of professional and/or at least 4 years of comparable academic work experience.
Experience editing and proofreading transcripts and working with industry-related software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
Ability to manage competing deadlines with strong attention to detail, organization, and accountability.

Responsibilities

Edit and proofread transcripts for accuracy, formatting, and other customer requirements on fast turnaround.
Timecode and sync transcripts to video projects that may include meetings, hearings, conference, and feature films.
Record high-quality audio and/or video of meetings, hearings, and conferences using recording equipment.
Interface with customers, colleagues, and division/executive leadership in a manner that reflects NCC’s core values.
Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance (must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check).
