Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead month-end close activities for manufacturing while driving cost improvements and accurate inventories. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver reliable statements and insightful dashboards.

The role emphasizes standard costing, variance analysis, and ERP optimization, with a strong focus on collaboration and accuracy across multiple plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (or active progress toward CPA) preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience within a manufacturing setting.
• Deep knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• ERP experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred); advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Clear, concise communicator able to partner across functions.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close activities tied to manufacturing.
• Analyze product costs, inventory levels, and production variances; translate findings into actions.
• Maintain and update standard costs, including annual cost roll processes.
• Build and deliver financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and performance dashboards.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and support physical counts across multiple plants.
• Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to identify and realize cost reductions.
• Uphold accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and ERP (SAP S/4HANA preferred) enhancements.
