Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Remote USA Plant Costing and Inventory Accounting Specialist to lead month-end close for manufacturing activities and ensure timely, accurate results. You will analyze product costing, inventory balances, and variances across plants, while maintaining standard costing models and supporting cost rolls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 5+ years in manufacturing accounting, and ERP proficiency (SAP S/4HANA) with advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred (or in progress).
• 5+ years in manufacturing accounting or finance.
• Expertise in inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• ERP proficiency (SAP S/4HANA) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close for manufacturing activities and ensure timely, accurate results.
• Analyze product costing, inventory balances, and production variances across plants.
• Maintain standard costing models; manage annual updates and cost rolls.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses for leadership.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and coordinate/participate in physical counts.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to surface and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Safeguard policy compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
• Advance continuous improvement and support ERP optimization (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
