Job summary

Cannon Cochran Management Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Multi-Line Claim Consultant to handle investigations, evaluation, and adjustment of multi-line claims nationwide from a remote setting.

The role demands 5+ years of experience, strong litigation management, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining client service quality. Responsibilities span reserves, invoicing, settlements, defense coordination, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-line claims handling experience
• Experience managing litigated claims and working with defense counsel
• Strong understanding of claim investigation, liability analysis, coverage evaluation, and negotiation strategies
• Ability to independently manage a caseload of approximately 125–150 files
• Experience handling claims across multiple jurisdictions
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision‑making abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
• Proficiency with OneNote
• Active home‑state adjuster license required
• Must provide license number and NPN prior to hire to verify licensing status
• Ability to obtain and maintain additional state licenses as required

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and adjust multi-line claims per standards and laws
• Manage claims from assignment through resolution, including litigation exposure
• Establish and maintain reserves within authority levels
• Review claim‑related invoices
• Negotiate settlements per client instructions and jurisdiction
• Authorize and issue claim payments per procedures
• Coordinate defense counsel and service providers
• Pursue subrogation opportunities where applicable
• Maintain an active diary and ensure timely file movement
• Prepare reports and client communications
• Provide notices to excess and reinsurance carriers
• Attend mediations and hearings as needed
• Support claim reviews and training
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Claim Handling Standards
