Job summary

Smith Chason College is seeking an MRI Faculty member for a part-time, remote role. You will deliver didactic and practical instruction in medical imaging, aligned with syllabi, and collaborate with the Program Director and faculty to ensure student success.

The position requires four years of related experience, ongoing ARRT certification, and strong technical proficiency. Emphasis on online teaching, patient safety and an inclusive learning environment will guide your daily work.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of practical work experience in the subject area and a related degree at the same level as the course taught.
• Maintain ARRT certification(s) in good standing.
• Understand professional career paths and employer expectations in medical imaging.
• Strong tech skills including computer applications, internet research, and data analysis.
• Experience with Canvas LMS or similar platforms for online instruction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update up-to-date syllabi aligned with program objectives and industry standards.
• Deliver high-quality lectures and optimize instructional resources for remote teaching.
• Provide demonstrations on anatomy, ergonomics and scanning techniques using current references.
• Assist students with protocol questions and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records, submit grades promptly, and report progress to the Program Director.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
• Uphold confidentiality, ethics and professional conduct in all interactions.
• Foster an inclusive, diverse learning environment and use team-based learning strategies.
