Job summary

Rate is a national retail mortgage lender with a tech-driven experience, supporting clients from first-time home buyers to refinancers. This remote role supports an office in EST and offers a comprehensive benefits program.

You will collaborate with Loan Officers to guide customers through the full mortgage process with accuracy and efficiency. You will review approvals, track conditions, and coordinate disclosures while receiving ongoing training to become an expert on home loan products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent experience in an operational role in residential mortgage (Conventional, FHA, VA).
• Recent experience with DPA loans is required.
• Excellent disposition, communication skills, and work ethic.
• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong listening, problem-solving skills, and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Work with Loan Officers to ensure timely, accurate mortgage experiences for clients—from first-time home buyers to refinancers—throughout the process.
• Schedule and track closing dates, contingency dates, and loan lock expirations.
• Review loan approvals and address conditions required for underwriting and closing.
• Receive training and become an expert on home loan products and the mortgage process.
• Prepare and submit loan files to the Closing Department.
• Use technology to manage your loan pipeline and conduct credit/underwriting analysis.
• Provide world-class customer service and consultative guidance to clients.
