Job summary

ChoiceOne Bank is seeking an Outside Sales Mortgage Loan Originator in Saginaw, MI. The role focuses on generating residential mortgage loan business through proactive, in-person sales activities outside the employer’s office.

You will build relationships, solicit applications, review financials, and guide clients through the mortgage process while ensuring regulatory compliance. Remote-eligible, full-time position with strong emphasis on customer service and closing loans.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with prospective borrowers through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
• Actively solicit mortgage loan applications by meeting clients at their homes, workplaces, or other locations outside the employer’s office.
• Explain mortgage products, terms, and conditions in in-person meetings.
• Collect and review financial documentation and credit reports.
• Obtain signed applications and ensure disclosures and compliance steps are completed.
