Job summary

ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to procure new mortgage transactions for the bank.

The role involves taking qualified loan applications, collecting supporting documents, and submitting loan packets to the production office. You will maintain client contact to clear stipulations and support production by soliciting realtors and partners to grow residential mortgage business.

• Thorough knowledge of the lending function.
• General Accounting knowledge.
• Ability to meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Proactive business development.
• Accept mortgage loan applications and interview applicants per policies and guidelines.
• Collect information for evaluation of borrower creditworthiness.
• Stay informed of market conditions and interest rates.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
• Develop relationships with realtors, builders, and referral partners.
