U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans within an assigned metro area, gather applications, and coordinate preliminary underwriting to move files toward processing and closing.

The position is posted as remote but near locations may require on-site work three days per week, with 2+ hours of driving per week. Requires 1+ year mortgage or banking experience and valid NMLS registration.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under SAFÉ Act and Regulation Z, plus ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience.
• Ability to travel.

Responsabilités

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned metro area.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval and ensure documents are secured for processing/closing.
• Occasionally drive as part of the role.
