U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned metropolitan territory, take applications, conduct preliminary underwriting, and guide files through processing and approval.

The role involves sales activity away from bank locations and requires travel and a driving commitment (2+ hours weekly). Remote posting but on-site 3+ days weekly if near a location.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration per S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Engage in sales-related activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
