Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned metropolitan territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting reviews, and guide file processing toward approval while coordinating with processing and underwriting teams.

This remote role may require onsite work three days per week if located near a U.S. Bank office, plus 2+ hours of driving weekly. Ideal candidates have the NMLS registration, a high school diploma, and at least one year of

• NMLS registration required and clean record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Ensure documents for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner.
