Job summary

America's First Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to generate production of 1-4 family residential loans, including conventional, FHA and VA programs, while guiding borrowers through the process. You will originate loans, counsel borrowers on suitable products, and coordinate with underwriting and mortgage operations to ensure timely closings.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, a Diploma or equivalent, and must be S.A.F.E.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related mortgage experience.
• S.A.F.E Act registration through NMLS or willingness to register upon hire.
• Knowledge of FHA, VA and FNMA mortgage lending procedures.
• Professional demeanor and member-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Originate all types of 1-4 family residential loans and counsel borrowers on applicable products.
• Receive applications, assist borrowers to complete accurate submissions and gather supporting docs.
• Assist members with closing contingencies promptly and timely.
• Gather information for closing per underwriting requests and maintain status reports.
• Maintain system reports for loans in process and report to leadership on progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
