The role requires knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting processes, and lending regulations, with strong communication and analytical skills to assess creditworthiness and determine loan viability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance or related field.
• NMLS licensing required or ability to obtain after hire.
• Experience with mortgage products and underwriting processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mortgage loan business through member seminars and calls to realtors, contractors, and other institutions.
• Foster and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and referral sources.
• Evaluate member applications including credit history and debt-to-income ratios.
• Assist members in completing mortgage applications and gathering documents.
• Prepare mortgage loan files for underwriting and closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and credit union policies.
