Qualifications

• Experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar mortgage origination role.
• Knowledge of residential lending including conventional and government-backed programs.
• Familiarity with underwriting concepts and loan documentation.
• Strong customer service skills with clear communication and trust-building.
• Active or eligible Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license as required by NMLS.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and standard office software.
• Solid analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• High ethical standards and compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
• Experience working with real estate agents or referral partners is preferred.
• High school diploma required; college coursework in business/finance beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans and advise borrowers on suitable products.
• Meet with prospective borrowers and gather/review financial documentation.
• Run pre-qualifications and submit complete files to processing/underwriting.
• Maintain regular communication with borrowers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Stay current on lending guidelines and market trends; build referral relationships.
