NEXA Lending is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer for a full-time, remote role. You will originate residential mortgage loans, guide borrowers from first contact to closing, and liaise with processing and underwriting teams to ensure regulatory compliance and timely closings.

Responsibilities include prospecting leads, conducting borrower consultations, gathering documentation, and educating clients on loan options. A strong focus on customer service and meeting production goals is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Loan Officer or similar mortgage origination role.
• Knowledge of the mortgage industry, regulations, loan products and market trends.
• Hands-on experience in mortgage lending processes: application intake, documentation, coordination with processing and underwriting.
• Understanding of underwriting guidelines and ability to structure files meeting investor standards.
• Active NMLS license (or eligibility) and any state licenses for target markets.
• Proficiency with mortgage LOS systems, document management tools, and common office software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple files.
• Prior experience in residential mortgage lending, banking, or financial services is preferred.
• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor’s degree in business/finance is a plus.
