Job summary

Kearny Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate first mortgage loans and guide clients through underwriting guidelines and disclosures. This remote role involves traveling to client sites nationwide and collaborating with real estate agents, builders, and borrowers.

You will review documentation, enter data, order credit reports, and communicate complex approvals or denials. The position requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail, with commissions and a car

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with mortgage or related sales is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of real estate documents and underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Solicits first mortgage loans by going out to clients.
• Assists loan applicants in completing applications and disclosures.
• Prepares loan estimates and completes initial disclosures.
• Enters data into the computer system and orders credit reports.
• Responds to inquiries from borrowers and agents and maintains follow-up.
• Communicates approvals or denials to borrowers and agents.
• Manages workflow and prioritizes tasks in a regulated environment.
• Complies with Bank Secrecy Act and bank policies.
• Travel to client sites as needed for remote role.
