Job summary

Ocrolus Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Forward-Deployed Engineer (Encompass) to blend engineering with direct client impact in mortgage origination workflows. You’ll work across Account Management, implementation, and onboarding to deliver production-grade solutions in the field.

You’ll prototype integrations, run value-focused engagements, and communicate complex technical concepts to senior mortgage executives, while traveling to client sites and events as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.
• 3+ years of mortgage or lending workflows experience.
• Strong understanding and experience with Encompass.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior mortgage executives.
• Backend: Python; APIs; Encompass Developer Connect; SQL.
• Frontend: React/TypeScript; JavaScript with SSF for Encompass forms.
• Familiarity with mortgage LOS/POS platforms (Encompass, Blend, SimpleNexus, Floify); Git; cloud basics (AWS/Azure).
• Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you figure it out.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert and trusted advisor during post-sales; embed with customer teams.
• Review and consult on technical solutions, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and integrations.
• Build and support mortgage client integrations using Ocrolus, Encompass, and other platforms.
• Run proof-of-concepts and proof-of-value engagements to show ROI quickly.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in live environments and restore operations.
• Collaborate with Account Management and Product teams to deliver value and influence roadmap.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites and events (~30-50%).
