Job summary

Freedom Mortgage is seeking a Loss Mitigation Document Specialist II to perform second review on incomplete packages and oversee documents for foreclosure-related files. The role includes quality checks of junior documents, assisting Document Specialists I and II, and coordinating with Underwriting and Foreclosure teams to keep files moving.

The candidate should be proficient with mortgage documents, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, and possess 1–2 years of LM document experience or equivalent

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience as LM Document Specialist II is required, or one-year related experience and/or training, some College/Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Adobe Acrobat and knowledge of various file formats.

Responsibilities

• Daily user maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Review all incoming borrower documents and letters; track file status.
• Notate system of record with documents still needed from borrower.
• Maintain records of mis-handled cases for coaching opportunities.
• Ensure proper upload of documents into Tempo or EMDS by Document Specialist II.
• Issue letters to borrowers about missing items and closing LM review.
• Coordinate with Underwriting, Mediations, Litigation, Foreclosure and SPOC teams.
• Review files with foreclosure dates to determine eligibility for underwriting decision.
• Respond to emails and Comtags professionally and timely.
• Adhere to established timelines and quality decisions for each file.
• Be familiar with mortgage and financial documents and processing.
