Job summary

The State of Montana is seeking a Session Remote Meeting Coordinator for the 70th Legislative Session. This 100% remote, short-term role supports legislative meetings and ensures Zoom participation runs smoothly in collaboration with the Audio/Video team and committee staff.

The coordinator assists chairs, members, and the public, adheres to decorum, and helps begin and end meetings on time. Montana residency is required; hours vary by committee schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with public meeting forums.
• Experience with Zoom and other video conference technology preferred.
• Ability to adapt to new features of computers and software.
• Ability to communicate professionally in a legislative setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point-of-contact for Zoom-related questions.
• Adhere to decorum and rules of order for legislative committee meetings.
• Escalate technical questions to appropriate staff for resolution.
• Follow up with users to ensure problems are resolved.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure meeting room AV is operating at start.
• Troubleshoot Zoom issues before and during meetings.
