Job summary

Kootenai Health seeks a compassionate Monitor Tech to help monitor patients in the Progressive Care Unit. From a remote workstation, you will watch multiple patients’ heart rates and promptly report changes to the nursing staff while ensuring monitors are functioning properly.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, achieving 90% on the BCA exam within 90 days, and demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias required.
• Completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients from a remote workstation in the Critical Care Monitor Studio.
• Watch patient heart rates on monitors tracking multiple patients and report changes to nursing staff.
• Ensure monitors are functioning properly at all times.
