Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a monitor technician to continuously observe cardiac rhythms and assist with remote video monitoring. The role requires recognizing arrhythmias, documenting on monitor strips, and notifying the RN of changes. When remote video observing, observations are documented in the EHR.

The position works 24 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least six months in a health-related field; previous monitor tech

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Six months’ experience in a health-related field required.
• Must be able to pass the arrhythmia identification test prior to hire or within introductory period.
• Previous cardiac monitor tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and observe patients remotely per criteria.
• Recognize arrhythmias and document on monitor strips.
• Notify the assigned RN of arrhythmia changes.
• If remote video observing, document observations in the electronic health record.
