Valtech seeks a Platform Database Engineer to design, deploy, administer, and optimize MongoDB across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will blend database engineering with SRE practices to ensure performance, reliability, and automation in a large enterprise ecosystem.

You will architect MongoDB Atlas and non‑Atlas deployments, implement disaster recovery, and drive performance improvements. Collaboration with DevOps and platform teams will be essential for operational excellence.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years as a MongoDB DBA, including Atlas administration.
• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, VPC, Lambda).
• Proficiency in Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD automation, and containerized workloads (EKS/Kubernetes).
• Experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, or equivalent observability platforms.
• Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to participate in on‑call rotation and incident response.

Aufgaben

• Architect, implement, and maintain MongoDB Atlas and non‑Atlas environments.
• Design resiliency and disaster recovery strategies including backup and multi‑region failover.
• Optimize database performance to support development teams throughout SDLC.
• Develop and manage infrastructure‑as‑code solutions for provisioning and automation.
• Implement observability and monitoring using Dynatrace, CloudWatch, and MongoDB telemetry.
• Manage access control, auditing, and encryption for security compliance.
• Collaborate with application/DevOps/platform teams to improve reliability and performance.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Mentor teams and contribute to documentation and design reviews.
