Job summary

NeoGenomics Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Molecular Pathologist for a remote role that includes weekend coverage.

You will utilize Next-Generation Sequencing, Sanger sequencing, PCR and other molecular techniques to support diagnosis and prognosis in oncology, while delivering high-quality pathology and lab services. The position requires MD/DO, board certification in Molecular Pathology or eligibility, and an active license in FL/TX/CA or eligible.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required; MD/PhD preferred.
• Board certification or eligibility in Molecular Genetics Pathology.
• Active unrestricted medical license in FL, TX, or CA or eligibility.
• Minimum two years’ experience signing out Molecular Oncology with NGS.
• Experience with LIS and electronic reporting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret molecular results including next generation sequencing and electronic release of reviewed cases.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Participate in day-to-day operations and case sign-out with client interactions.
• Provide expertise to technologists and resolve case issues.
• Collaborate as Delegated Clinical Consultant when assigned by site Medical Director.
• Maintain high turnaround time, quality, and customer service standards.
