Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering seeks an Engineering Lead – Molds to oversee the design, build, and cost control of tooling for injection molding. The role requires coordinating with customers, the injection molding department, internal mold shop, external suppliers, and sub-contractors.

This is a remote role with travel to our Ontario, NY location. Responsibilities include leading tool design reviews, tracking timelines, qualifying molds, and ensuring customer requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in engineering technology or plastics tech with 1–3 years in injection mold design/build.
• Strong CAD/3D modeling skills with attention to GD&T and dimensional tolerances.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tool design and build, including kickoff, changes, repairs, and customer transfer molds.
• Lead cross-functional Design Review sessions to satisfy customer and production requirements.
• Coordinate tool build timelines, sampling activities, and progress reporting.
• Qualify new molds with first article inspection and ensure mold approval.
• Interface with customers and internal teams (Quality, Molding, Process Engineering, Tool Room, Shipping).
• Provide engineering support to day-to-day production and operations.
