Job summary

PerfectServe is hiring a junior mobile developer to help build and maintain cross‑platform mobile apps for iOS and Android using React Native. You will translate designs into high‑quality code, integrate with REST APIs, and collaborate with senior engineers in a remote, cross‑functional team.

Qualifications

• Some prior technical experience in mobile development, software development, or a related technical area.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or another programming/technology-related field from an accredited higher education institution.
• Working knowledge of React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript, including React fundamentals such as components, state, props, and hooks.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile delivery practices.
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles and an interest in building skills across both iOS and Android.
• Experience using Git for version control and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Health IT experience (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android under the guidance of more senior mobile engineers.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high‑quality, responsive code.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and third‑party SDKs.
• Debug and resolve bugs, performance issues, and platform‑specific quirks between iOS and Android.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
• Write and maintain basic unit and integration tests to help ensure application stability.
• Communicate effectively in a remote environment, including maintaining an active on‑camera presence during meetings when expected.
