Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Applications Engineer – Mobile Controls to support OEM customers throughout the Western United States. This remote role requires residing in the West territory (Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Spokane, WA; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA).

You will be the technical expert on electronic controls, displays, sensors, and electrohydraulic solutions for mobile equipment, collaborating with engineering, product management, and sales teams to deliver innovative machine solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting electronic controls or electrohydraulic systems on mobile/off-highway equipment.
• Strong understanding of controllers, HMIs, displays, sensors, CAN communication, and mobile control architectures.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with C, CODESYS, MATLAB, or similar controls programming environments.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing technical support skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for electronic controls and electrohydraulic solutions in the Western Region.
• Partner with sales to evaluate requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Support OEMs with product selection, system integration, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Provide guidance on controllers, displays, sensors, wiring, and hardware integration.
• Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and product demonstrations.
• Develop technical proposals and application recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management to support projects.
• Deliver product and application training to customers and distributors.
• Build relationships with customer engineering teams and support new equipment development.
• Travel ~25% across the Western U.S.
