Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior leader to oversee the underwriting and credit risk validation sector within its Model Risk Management team. You will mentor a high-performing quantitative group while personally validating complex ML models.

Responsibilities include end-to-end model validation, technical reviews, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the enterprise risk framework. Remote US role with strong pay and equity potential.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in a highly technical role (model development, validation, or quantitative analytics).
• Deep understanding of ML modeling, underwriting, and credit risk management.
• Strong programming in Python and SQL for large-scale data analyses.
• Track record of hiring, mentoring, and leading quantitative teams.
• Advanced degree in Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or Data Science.
